First the fuse had blown on the starter button (my own design, so my own fault), then for further humiliation I had to pay £3.17 for an assortment of replacement fuses and even then the car would just about start again. Later at home discarded the fuse on the starter and it shows all the signs of a starter that is on the way out.

Put the car on stands to have a good look at the starter in case I need to order a replacement. So I took the starter off and discovered a mist of oily residue between the starter and bell-housing. Cleaned up the area and now it works again. Conclusion: bad earth between starter and bell-housing. Also missing a bolt to hold the starter, so need to get one from somewhere.

Was looking for a while to add a 3rd brake light to the rollbar, and found one which has built in indicators as well. It finally arrived from China, so started with the install by cutting into the wiring loom at a suitable location
And then after carefully making sure all wiring colours where matched up put a connector in. Switched on the ignition and for a period of 3 seconds the 3rd brake light came on (very bright it was!) and then died. Damn. Guess they don't have much quality control in China
Having raised a case in Ebay for a replacement, I continued with the next job I had planned... install my new carbon cycle wings. Made by WSCC member Mark Russell. And lovely they are too!
