And so it continues
Spend: £4,200
Even after I bought, spend, broken down, spend some more and sold my previous Westfield, the urge to own another one kept coming back, like a bad cold you just can't shake. So having taken care of the car situation by having a family car to drive to work in and a small city runabout for Mrs Q, there was money left in the kitty and I was back to scouring the adverts, looking for a toy.
After a few weeks, an advert popped up on Ebay and within 10 minutes of it being listed I was on the phone to the seller arranging for a viewing. The advert wasn't the best, but the asking price was well within my budget and the seller seemed genuine and so I travelled the 130 miles to do a bit of tyre kicking. When the garage opened and I was faced with a really good condition 1998 yellow SEW, with an absolutely bog standard 1600 Crossflow on twin 40 Webbers. You should never buy the first one you see they say, but as I had already owned one, you can forgive me for throwing that advice in the wind
We arranged for the collection to be a week later so the seller would have time to put a fresh MOT on and I would have time to pray to the weather gods. Dressed up warm and armed with support vehicle and co-drivers, the drive home was fortunately uneventful and is hopefully a sign of things to come!
I've still got to tidy up the garage though...
