Seem to remember seeing plenty of westies at le mans in my earlier years before enlightenment,  most of them were eight wheelers and had many many seats.

Also seem to remember seeing some sort of race going on!!

Anything being arranged this year by the club?

Hi Marty I'm going down maybe in the western if I get one sorted by then. We're be camping in houx. Do you ever go to Silverstone for the 1000k WEC?

Blimey sparky hope you get sorted with something before June. However, guessing you a lot younger than this old wrinkly.

So take the advice of the experienced ones on this forum and hold out for what you really want.

Rome not built in a day and all that.

No never been to any events here in UK.

thanks for the advise Marty  ;) i would recommend a trip to silverstone for the 1000k its a good weekend and the best bit is that its not very busy and you can get into nearly all of the grandstands for free. we watched the race 2 years ago for the new grandstand in front of the new pits which was cool. last year we watched the race from inside Aston Martins garage which was an unbelievable.

I drove my westy down last year, my Ipod ran out just after the tunnel

Great drive though, There is a chap who takes photos at the toll booth and posts them on pistonheads will try and find the link.

There is one stretch on the motorway where the distance between the services was quite far.

even managed to leave le mans in the dry, even though it had rained all night, car got covered in mud leaving the camp ground!

Most of the services on French motorways are far apart.
