pistonbroke Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 This morning , for the first day in ions , the sun is out , its cold and dry , a perfect day for having fun . I get togged up and off to the garage to unpack the wessy from its dust cover , Ive left the hood and tonnue covers resting on the bonnet so chuck them and the dust cover onto the pile of stuff ive left on the floor behind the car , as I begin to unplug the battery saver and fit the sidescreens I become aware of a faint hissing noise , I check its not a puncture , no aircraft or ufo's sighted , but now I notice the hissing noise is accompanied by a familiar smell of cellulose paint thinners , its coming from under the covers . Further investigation reveals the weather gear has landed on top of a tin of halfroids spray paint which is emptying its contents over the tonnue cover and hood , these are rapidly becoming a nice shade of puegeout cream . By the time ive cleaned the mess up hid arrives home , we must to go to B& Q for some garden bulbs and a new PIR light for the driveway which has to be fitted today as its going to snow tommorow Arrive back from B&Q ( guess what the Q stands for ) and note ive collected a puncture (another nail ) in the tintop , out comes the air line , sorted , now for the PIR light , up the ladder i set about removing the old unit , thers a sudden bang and a flash ( must remember to switch off at the mains next time ) my best screwdriver has now been converted into a toothpick . finally get the job done , spot of lunch , help plant the hiacynth bulbs just in time for the snow to arrive ( more of a drizzely sleety type stuff ) determined to rescue something from the day I set off for a quick blat , first stop to the local esso for some essance , fill her up and then realise ive left me wallet at home so have to send for help , by now both me and the car are pretty miserable , not helped by being left standing at the traffic lights with my rears spinning up and having to watch the boy racer dissapear into the distance . Get back home to find the garage door stuck closed , its swollen by all the wet weather weve had and to top it all hid now nagging me for having ruined her day ! Quote

s2rrr Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Had to sit through Les Miserables last night, almost slashed me wrists, wailing women. No sex no violence and blokes singing to each other. Bless the fairer sex Bob Quote
Norman Verona Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I said to HM a few minutes ago that I couldn't understand how someone could get enjoyment from a musical about the French Revolution. It was followed by Robspierre and the "terror" Quote
