Mark Stanton Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Desert dune safari ride, great places to eat and drink in hotels, the gold souk is an experience and people watching in the shopping malls - spotting the Gucci's beneath the burkhas - car spotting - altho you will get bored of Porsches, Mercs, Bentleys, Fezzas etc etc etc get along to the race circuit theres a 24 hour race very soon loads of brits taking part Quote

The value of most arabic gold is purely by weight and nothing for design workmanship etc so for an ounce of gold thats what you pay unless they have started ripping people off. 31.7ish grammes I think in an ounce and not sure of the current gold price but was well up back end of last year. $1657 per ounce, thats over a grand, bl**** hell must get my stash re-insured. Maybe forget that one, how about pearls or stones. Saffron used to be a fair deal but you don't have much need for that normally. Bob Quote
