Stephen, if they're like mine the switch on the copter has to be off when you plug it in to the charger and the 'charge' light only comes on when the battery is fully charged - they seem counter-intuitive to most other devices I have that have the charging light on (or flashing) until fully charged when it goes off (or stops flashing)....

Hi Peter, rightly or wrongly, I've taken the battery out in order to charge it, so in effect, yes it is switched "off". In fact, thinking about it, the battery might fit in easier if I left the charging wire and plug outside, dangling from the bottom of the chopper as it were.  ;)  ;)  ???  ??? We'll see. :)  :)

well that's the way mine is set up, the charging lead just hangs below the cockpit bit at the front but i tuck it in when flying (and the lead fnarr fnarr...)
