Atlas12v Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Fitting a kill switch to my car with 2.0 Retop engine. Looking for advise on cables. What do I need amps wise for the main two cables and what should I use for the 4 small terminals? Is there any benefit to using red or black etc for identification purposes or just get two lots one for heavy current and one for light? Advice appreciated. Quote
Blatman Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Use the same gauge and colour cable as you do for the battery positive for the big terminals as you will be interrupting the positive feed from the battery. The low tension wires are either 27amp or 15amp, I forget which. http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/92822-fia-cut-offkill-switch/?hl=fia Quote
