It's been working ok for me. look to see if the messages been read yet and when they last logged in.

How strange just checked the messages? all unread . sent one to SteveD on dec 18 about his aero screen he had for sale and I see he's pretty active, sent one yesterday to some one else and one to Mickmade today. All unread..

Also trying to get sort my profile picture out and can't seem to link it from photobucket or imageshack, anyone help a PC dummie?     

 

Also can I change my username?

pm the memsec and he'll be happy to change your user name for you im sure the people youve pm'd will be prompted by someone that you have pm'd them, i just checked mine and i had one from 13th Dec, no prompt on screen that i can see that i had one!

You can change your username yourself. It's in your profiles which you can get to at the top right of the menu.

 

It's your name on the top bar on the right. It has a little down facing arrow. Have a root around it's in there somewhere. Worth spending a few minutes setting it up.

 

I think MemSecs got enough to do at the moment.

 

As for the picture, It works for me from my own website. I seem to remember there may be problems with photobucket but not sure.

AFAIK username changes haven't been enabled for Boardroom members, only admins, Scott the Membership Sec has usually changed them when people have wanted a new user name.

 

Profile pictures are a little fiddly. The size of the picture to be imported has to be just right. There used to be some details about it in the help section, worth a check?

Just PM me with the new user name you want and I'll sort it, no problems.  I can sort your avatar as well if you attach the photo in your PM.

I changed my display name myself. There is a item called display name in the settings section of your profile data.

 

But I'm confused because it's showing my username, not my display name.

 

I wonder if Farmboy1 realises that his displayed name is different to his username.

Your User Name is the name you sign in with.

 

Your Display Name is the name everyone can see.

 

You can have different User Names and Display Names (as Norman has).  So if you had Wilma as your Display Name and User Name, but wanted to change your Display Name to Fred, you'd still log in as Wilma.

 

Unless you wanted your User Name changed as well.
