johngill Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Wife and daughter went shopping so I went balting nice day in nothumberland about 8C with a warm wind from the south. Rain washed salt off and wind dried roads, a sunny day in Alnwick so had a fab time set me up for New Years Eve. A good end to the year. Happy New Year everyone. Quote
pistonbroke 2 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Yer Luckyoldgit . Its persistently raining here and windy to boot. Quote
Norman Verona Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Squally rain here as well. Just had reason to go into the workshop, Jacob (a friend) wanted to blast some wooden spindles in my blast cabinet (filled with glass bead). While he blasted away, I got in the 7 and started it. Ran it up to 98c and then the fan came on. The temperature then dropped about 10 c so I was pleased with that. I've sealed around the rad to nose cone with heating pipe insulation tubes. But the best thing was that I got in in comfort, last time I got in during the summer, my fat A*** was a very tight fit. Food reduction programme is working. Quote
Graham0127 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Well missed my last chance of a blat in 2012......car`s still a rain virgin! So now I`m going to build an ARK,fill it with Westies and visit Norm..at least two old fools together? Anyone up for it ? Happy New Year to all Quote
Norman Verona Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Graham, I'm the ark builder. It's well under way. Quote
Graham0127 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Well Norm, there once was a small stream at the bottom of my garden. This stream is now a small river ......All rivers lead to the sea,so if your quick you can rescue us.... Quote
Norman Verona Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I have several ponds that I'll pond test it on. Then I'll tow it across the road to the River Vertzie. which ends up in the River Loire, then out to sea at St Nazaire. Sounds better than across the Essex countryside Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Persisted down here all day to. Quote
Dommo Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Dry around here tomorrow hopefully, so I'm hoping for a good drive whilst everyone else is still nursing their hangovers! Quote
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Rained most of the day here too..... However the Westie is in bits so no blat likely for a while yet anyway..... BTW Happy New Year to all to all. Quote
Norman Verona Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 No hangovers here, I'm afraid. I'm on antibiotics so no booze for me tonight. Quote
Mooch Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 No hangovers here, I'm afraid. I'm on antibiotics so no booze for me tonight. You do know that's a myth, don't you, Norman? The don't mix booze with antibiotics came about as a ruse to treat those with a drink problem in t'olden days. There's only one or two antibiotics out of the hundreds available where it might be a problem, but they are not commonly prescribed. Fill yer boots! Quote
Norman Verona Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Mooch, I'm aware of that. However my doctor says no alcohol as I'm on other medication as well. H normally doesn't warn HM of booze , I don't have much experience as I'm not on anything other than my blood pressure and diabetic medication. Warfarin says you must not take alcohol with them but I ignore that. A week off booze won't do me any harm. Will it? Quote
7sRWild Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Dont worry Norm, I will take care of your quota for tonight... Happy new year to you all. Quote
