Was it just me or was James Martin unable to say the word 'Formula'?  Every time I heard 'Formle-a'

 

Enjoyed the show though.  Never knew about Jackie's protege Cevert, though.  New name to me but what a sad loss.

Mooch, you are correct. James Martin couldn't pronounce 'formula'. Thankfully he was less of a tit than usual. Usually I'd love to meet petrol head celebs but I'm really not fussed on him.

Hmmm - quite a contrast with Stirling Moss who raced because it was dangerous!   I'm glad drivers don't get killed any more but I thought at the time that JYS was a bit of a wuss.  I'm older and wiser now.

 

'Formlia' maybe to do with his dyslexia.

Good prog, Sir Jackie's autobiography is worth a read too. The book outlines his business acumen - he really was a very good business man and still is! It really was quite shocking how many racers were being killed - they knew the risks though as outlined by Stirling Moss in the previous programme...

I had series linked them on my planner... Missed the first one due to box turned off at mains, recorded second one and wind moved dish and now no signal!!!

Oh how I love Birmingham and zero TV reception other than sky, I also love BT for giving us a date at start of jan for Internet/phone line connection and last week deciding to tell us it'll be mid feb now!!!

Only here till June, is it worth it???

Agree on the autobiography, one of the things that also covers that the program didn't was his campaign on dyslexia, to improve the training of teachers - most admirable.
