smartphones and driving

Should have dragged him out and givin him some Christmas cheer

No, trying a new me. Mrs C was worried I was going to do just that. She responded after with

"I'm so glad you didn't start shouting and approaching him."

To which I replied,

"It's Christmas Day, he managed to just about stop... I was stood to the side of his line and ready to punch him if he drove passed. But he stopped, so no harm done."

Another interesting fact, if someone was clearly in the wrong and had come close to injuring me, yes derogatory possibly racial stereo types would be shouted at them... This disgraced my wife and would get me in trouble with her. But it only took five days of living in Birmingham to change her and unfortunately it's rare for it to be a British person under 70yrs old to be causing havoc on the roads. Mrs C has now realised this.

Apple track the location of every iphone. It can and has been used in a court of law, certainly in the states.</p></blockquote><br />

So would this be useful??? Sounds good IMHO.<br />

I use the "Find My Friends" app and only have Mrs C on it. Her sense of direction's shocking and when I ask for a description she'll say<br />

"Tree's, I can see trees... And a red car."<br />

So this is for me to guide her home. Used a few times!!!

of the smart phones most are iPhones.

Nope. Factually incorrect. http://www.email-marketing-reports.com/wireless-mobile/smartphone-statistics.htm

Most smartphones are Samsung's.

And even Apple would never be able to outsell ALL other Android devices put together. It just seems that way...

The Governments proposed new communications bill, roundly derided as a licence to snoop on anybody, any time is nothing of the sort. The current draft law states that any costs incurred in retrieval of data will be re-imbursed so cost is no barrier to the communications providers.

And remember that ISP's currently are required by law to keep a record of what users are accessing for a period of 12 months. Yes your ISP knows and actively saves your browsing history for a period of 12 months...

In my personal experience pretty much everyone I know has an iPhone. Only people without one go on about price of them or pull out some statistic to show why their lessor phone is better.I was a comm's tech 2001-2008, fixing radio systems, pc's and stuff. Most comms techs were anti apple. I was too! I liked to build my own pc's and laptops and did not like the way apple products are too restrictive. But once paid out for an iPhone, had Samsung previous, I was hooked. Then had a student offer on MacAir, amazing bit of kit! Had one issue after 8 months, booked appt on an app for genius desk... Went in next day and they just handed me a replacement within 10 mins... With Microsoft... No end of issues and faults.I like my laptop to just work and carry on, it's my car I play with and spend time upgrading now!

Just a little note to say,  switching your phone off does not prevent you and your phone being found, you have to take the battery out to be completely invisible.     Found that out on 24hrs. dramas with Jack Bauer :)  and it's true!

Isn't it rather ironic that we ( mostly yoof and pre 40's) object strongly to the Big Brother aspect of the possibility of being tracked or traced but manage to spill our guts on facebum giving names, ranks and numbers without a thought.
We have an extensive security camera set up at work and whenever a private car is bumped by another whilst parking etc, suprise suprise the cameras weren't on it that location, but pick yer nose in public and it'll be all over Yourtube.

Maybe I continue to be cynical.
