Mark Stanton Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 Come on - What's this boardroom coming to I can see the Robin Hood and Low Flying magazines next headlines The WSCC Guide to Washing Machines - all you need to know Its enough to make you cry and why didn't someone tell until it was tooooooo late that washing machines have a time delay switch when opening the door - Good old Zanussi Quote
Noel Johnson Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 We've got one made by Servis in silver and chrome - Looks grat and does the biz' regarding the washing As far as the 'hood magazine and low flying goes though I think the washing machine is built better AND has more power! Quote
peterg Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 Can't recommend Bosch Washers and Dishwashers highly enough, they're very quiet, economical and according to Which? and my own (and friend's) experience they rarely go wrong As analternative to kelkoo, use www.pricerunner.com as a price and supplier guide but also try a Google search using "cheap" "bosch" "washing machine" as the search criteria Quote
westy Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 I can recommend pricerunner as well. also try: QED Unbeatable Quote
I AM NOT A NUMBER!!! Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 Oh dear, I go away for 2 weeks and come back to find you discussing washing bl**** machines. Have I accidentally logged into the female section of WSCLC (Westfield Sports Car and Laundry Club) or has the board been overrun by an errant group of Boyz in the Hood vying with those chubby oinks in the Low Flying Club for limp wrists at dawn award? The facts of life are simple chaps: all washing machines wash clothes. How well they do it is of concern only to women and men who furtively record Kilroy. I believe the WSCC should concentrate on manly issues like spitting, passing wind, how high up a wall you can p***, telling tall stories and trying to avoid paying for a round. Quote
westy Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 quick Mr Webmaster, hide my 'cardy advice' thread Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 quick Mr Webmaster, hide my 'cardy advice' thread Before Mrs Westy comes back in from the garage. Quote
chrisbin Posted November 26, 2002 Author Posted November 26, 2002 OK Guys Thanks for all the help. Deal is done..... £310 from local supplier, including free delivery, connection, disposal of old one, and 10 months interest free credit.... £20 more than faceless entity on net with whom I have no experience, and who would not take old one away, and did not offer credit. I think I have a good deal! Westy, if you want your cardy washing anytime............. Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted November 27, 2002 Posted November 27, 2002 Looking forward to thread on Techie talk "anyone fitted NOS injection to Washer Dryer ?" Quote
hilux Posted November 29, 2002 Posted November 29, 2002 Ahem, Plenty of "asylum seekers" looking for work down here in the sarf. Got to be cheaper than a new machine I`m not sure if I`m allowed to suggest this but there you go Quote
