Different shape/size steering wheels

I've gone for a 270mm rectangular shaped one...MOD 29 by momo.

 

I'm fairly sure I will live to regret not going for a round wheel, but I'm a sucker for things that look good!

I think the 'D' shaped or open top one like Norms lok cool but fine if you have a "really" quick rack, however, I like the idea of my brain instinctively knowing where the rest of the wheel is, should I be having "a moment" and needing to grab another handfull...

I run a round 260mm Momo with a standard rack and wide track suspension in the 'busa for road use and it's fine.

have a mod 26 260mm on order. infact i need to bell luke to see if its in yet

Open topped wheels are only OK if you can drive and steer without having to cross hands on the wheel. I hold mine at 10 to 2 and never have to let go, other than for parking.
