Ah, the Fiat 131 Miriafiori twin cam, a real little rocket. We had a Fiat service agency and everyone wanted one. I passed on one as I had a Datsun 240Z.

Just get a tissue

Closest thing I had was an Orion ghia 1.6i. A xr3i with a boot :) I got it off a raf engineer. He had spent thousands on it and was pushing out 125bhp which was only 7 off the stock rst if I remember right. Not fast now but for a young lad it was great.

I had an Orion 1.6LX and then graduated to an S2 RS Turbo, wrote that off and had a Fiesta RS Turbo which I never really gelled with, traded that in for another S2 which got stolen in Blackpool, never to be seen again. Always wanted a S1, so I have got that out of my system and now it's time for some fun with the Westfield :)

One on my fave fords was a sierra 4x4 2.9 gls. A xr4x4 without the trip computer. It cost me £450 and was v rough around the edges. All the silly Billy's in the saxo's use to overtake me thinking look at that pile of S***. When they got along side I use to boot it and leave them there wondering what just happened. Sounded great with k&n induction kit and full blue flame exhaust.

Would love a 205GTI 1.9 in Miami Blue. Just standard of course, no 16v conversion or turbo.

To me the styling still looks fantastic even though it's about 25 years old now. Also love the sound of them.

Other car would have to be an RS500 in Moonstone Blue. Such an icon.

Mine was a mk1 escort painted red in two PAC paint with white RS stripes painted on, full roll cage 1600 xflow, started life as 1300 GT absolute mint condition, sold it 28 years ago for £750 god knows what it would be worth now :(

I'll try and hunt out some pictures and post them

HM had the 16. Pug 205 GTI. She would get to where ever she was going, get out and invite the biggest bloke around to park it for her. I always made myself scarce the steering was so heavy.

I had several. I would scour the country for them, run them for a few months and get them sorted, full valet and sold for top money. Being a Datsun dealer at the time helped.
