SteveRST
I've had some cool cars but I don't regret selling any of them... I've always moved on to something else fun, my tastes have changed etc The only car I do regret not being more enthusiastic about was a Mk1 Escort, 2-door, 1.3 litre, automatic in 'granny' beige. My mums boyfriend turned up with it one day, and said I could have it as an 18th birthday present. Now this was around 1996 and I was obsessed with modern hot hatches... I was saving for my first car, my dream car at the time, an Astra GTE, so the idea of settling for a 'grandma special' automatic mk1 Escort was unimaginable to me. I turned it down. I believe my mums boyfriend sold it on for £150. I did wait and save for the Astra GTE in the end though... a classic Mk1 too. Now that was a cool first car. hilux
The only one I`ve regretted selling was probably one of the best HDJ80 Landcruisers in the country (the best one ever made) and I went and bought a Touareg The Touareg is great, full of bells and whistles and drives like a sports car.............................but I hate it. The Landcruiser was simples and I could fix it. The bloke I sold it too wont sell it back......................even if he made a profit!! sweet orange
21 years ago i brought a Mini Marcos (760 DUB) for £100, none runner. I dropped on a Mini van for £50 and between them got the Marcos on the road..It seemed a death trap to me so sold to a dealer from Norfolk, i think, who sent it to Belgium. Got £800 for it and thought i was the big cheese. Spent it on a Renault 11 !! Permission to say dangler?
davidgh
Frog Eye Sprite & 970cc Cooper S -- needed the money on each occasion (and had nowhere to keep another car anyway). My TR3, on the other hand, I've never regretted selling. Pile of poo.

Dommo
My MINI (of the full fat classic-annoying variety). Not particularly because it was good, though for a first car I think it was up there... more because it was my first car, I bought it brand new and I'd have liked to have kept it forever... Did the sensible thing and sold it to buy a house. Then acted like a teenager again and spent considerably more!

frubpato?
When I was at Uni I had a Saab 99 EMS which I loved - half a rally car in disguise , they built it with a roll over hoop and A pillars which were welded onto the subframe at the wheelarch . It broke its gearbox and went to the scrappie cos I was too stupid /broke to fix it .
