Norman Verona
1) Cortina Lotus (Mk 2 Cortina) 2) Alfa Romeo 1300 GT Junior 3) Lancia Integralle 16v 4) Lotus Elise S (K series 160 bhp) There's probably more and I know you can't keep them all. Also, I suppose, if I hadn't sold one I wouldn't have got the next.

Norman Verona
I px'd mine for a Dedra. We all make mistakes so you can all stop laughing now. That car was never right. On delivery a piece of trim was missing. The dealer assured me it would be there to be fitted at the first 1000 mile service. I just smiled at him. I took delivery on the Thursday before Good Friday. I returned on the Tuesday with 1500 miles on the clock. Of course no trim but a long list of faults. The trim did eventually turn up about 9 months later. It was the second Integralle, the first being an 8 valve. I had two "failures" with the 16v, one was a blown turbo, fixed on the day near Coventry and a chaffed oil cooler pipe. The pipe was subject to a recall but this car was the first imported into the UK and probably wasn't on the list as I got it through the Lancia UK MD who had been one of my sales managers at our Renault dealership.. Captain Colonial
Just one - a 1966 Shelby GT350, white with blue stripes. God, I loved that car. It had a sticker on the dash that said "Do not roll down windows at speeds over 100mph", because the air pressure would blow the plexiglass windows out of the C pillars! All the rest of the ones I loved I don't regret selling, but that one...a little part inside of me died when that had to go, Exactly like this one *sigh* Depressed now.

fatbaldbloke
Triumph TR5, KCL 660G, I had it when I was at Uni in '75, there was the possibility of petrol rationing then and you could pick up thirsty sports cars for a song and insurance for young drivers wasn't prohibitive. I sold it in '76 when I left Uni and acquired a mini, a mortgage and a mrs instead (I still have the mortgage and the mrs!). I still have a photo in my desk of the old TR5 though. A couple of years ago a guy contacted me who had bought it as a wreck 4 or 5 years ago and rebuilt it to near concours standard. I believe it may have been up for sale recently at around £28k. Back in '76 I sold it for £550 and had some dust in my eye as I walked away.....
M444TTB
I wish I'd been able to keep my Peugeot 205 GTi. It was only a cherry red (orange lol) 1.6 H-reg with 145k on the clock but it had been seriously well looked after. I was still living with my parents in 2004 so had nowhere to keep it sadly. Darrell O'Neill
A mk2 1.6L astra. I bought it in '91. It was'nt fast, it was'nt classy, but I was 17, it was less than 3yrs old and it was paid for, in full, by me. ... Most special car I've ever had. langy
and my pal had a 130tc Strada, prob not worth a lot but I always had a soft spot for those! was a quick car in its day! prob as slow as a snail now!!! Nearly bought one of those myself. Anyway my car in this category was a Renault 19 16V, it was like a roller skate until the day i had to 'sell' it to the insurance company after having a close discussion with a hedge on the A303 . Fortunately this happened a few weeks before I started working abroad for 18 months, so no huge loss
mikef
Dare I say it - a Caterham 1700 X-flow. I sold it to get involved with sporting trials but we then moved to Wales and they don't do that sort of thing here. So I did regret selling it BUT - if I hadn't sold it, I wouldn't have my Westfield
V8grunt
I sold the Escort "Twin Cam" minus engine and gearbox, front struts, for £50 scrap, don't know if he scrapped it tho as he asked for the log book! Concours now I reckon about £55,

Mark (smokey mow)
I'm going to show my age now but of all the cars i've owned it would have to be my Saxo VTR I know they have a chavvy image now, but it hasn't always been that way. I bought mine brand new back in 1999 but foolishly i traded it two years after for a sport megane to date the Saxo is the most nimble and best handling small hot hatch I've owned.
