Echoz, I would try the other countries out before you make that giant leap, we all moan but we stay here, why would that be I wonder. Probably because it is still one of the best in the world to stay in, ask all the bl**dy immigrants why they come here. Its always greener on the other side of the hill. No disrespect here to proper immigrants or honoured guests, you know who I mean. I quite fancy New Zealand possibly Canada and a few others but so far I stay just here. Boringly stable.

Get the car out when its a nice day and forget all the political cr*p theres nothing anyone can do, they are all the same.

At least one politicians called for calm and not to think about breaking the BBC up over this storm in a teacup.

I don't want to see the BBC broken up, I want those responsible within the organisation who have hijacked the BBC that I grew up with to be summarily removed from office and the organisation returned to the principles established in it's charter.

As a publicly funded body the BBC has every right to evolve, in fact it has a duty to respond to the changing circumstances of the 21st century, I defend it's right to abandon Reith's principles, but only on condition that the people who make those decisions are named and the process that resulted in those decisions is open and transparent.

The BBC's senior management going to court to prevent the public from discovering who and why those decisions are made is an act of sedition, the behaviour of the journalists and producers involved with Newsnight, serious as it is, is trivial by comparison.

FA, I would have thought then Reith philosophy was just as relevant today as in the 1930s. More so if you look at the newspapers behaviour

However, the BBC does need a strong head to stop the rot. It's far more than Savile and accusations about child molesters.

And I don't mean policy on climate change but the management that allow these policies.
