Darrell O'Neill Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Way off topic I know, but with christmas looming Im considering buying my two 6yr olds a wii console and games. Something we can enjoy and have fun with as a family. The problem is, the last gaming machine I used was a ZX spectrum back in the 80's. Can anyone recommend a console bundle or games that would be the most fun?... Quote
Pistol Pete Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 The standard sports games are good fun if you're new to the wii, also my boys love the lego star wars game - not sure what bundles are available. Enjoy. Quote
echoz Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 most consoles come with wii resort, which is brilliant family fun, all the sports games etc on them with the little wii people, loads to do loads of different games within games, always found that to be the best game out of all of them. Haven't played many other games, but the mario/sonic games are a good laugh as well, especially mario kart Quick look on argos found me this, good starter bundle http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9040504.htm Quote
KugaWestie Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Once your kids get on it, they wont want to play with you Mine like all the lego adventure games - harry potter, star wars, indiana jones. Also Mario kart, winter olympics, wii sports resort Quote
Darrell O'Neill Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Thanks guys. As much as I hate the idea of them playing on video games, at least for the moment i'll be able to manag the time they spend on it..... is the 'balance board', numb chucks, a worthwhile investment for first time users? darve Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I have the wii fit board and game. My ex took the wii so i cant do much with it lol. used literally about 3 times. Yours for a sensible offer Quote
echoz Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Its all very basic gaming fella, pick up and play Hear you on the child gaming thing, but the wii is a larf and very interactive, rather than brain numbing/zombiefying Quote
