Getting slightly better,

I'm wondering if the cars are being offered for sale in Canada?

O, The color ( american for you Scott) surely that was the base primer undercoat they wheeled it out in?

To be sprayed with in my opinion not a very nice color.

Looked like cheap aluminium! ( aliminium, aluminum, what ever!)

speel cheker Broke!

I just went to the Channel 5 website and while on the phone saw a link to 'E Type Jaguar'. I clicked on it and got taken to the Classic Car website. I noticed a couple of viewer comments about the programme - it seems most viewers regard the programme with the same respect shown by the boardroom :)

The funniest thing was at the end. THere was an input box to add your own comment, with a Captcha field where you had to enter two 'randomly' chosen words. On this occasion the words were (and I have no ideal how the swear filter will react to this) "labia" and "clit0ris".

Ch 5 programmer with a sense of humour? Or just a reflection on the two presenters?

I get a weekly email from something listing classics for sale.

This is today's editorial:

Classic Car Rescue has been exposed

If you pick up a copy of this week’s Classic Car Weekly, you’ll be able to read the full, in-depth exposé of Channel 5’s weekly car resto show Classic Car Rescue. Why is this significant? Because it shows how little these TV production companies know about our classic car world.

That it is a specialist place for people with knowledge, passion and skill is a given. But rather than the factual inaccuracies and obvious false premise set up when the presenters state they are going to restore a car within a few scant weeks, it is the assumption that what is presented is somehow ‘good enough’ for the audience that galls me the most.

On the entertainments platform I'll give it 5 At the most

Which puts it below emmerdale but not half as funny ;)

It is bad, but I've found myself watching just to see if it can get any worse!

Not sure if the new Guy Martin series has been mentioned, but for me, it's far more entertaining. :t-up:

On a slightly different note ... How the crap did that guy get those caddies into that bunker...??? In fact who has a house with a bunker like that in the first place :)

I would imagine that the non-enthusiast would believe the programme to be factual and true. They probably watch enthralled and amazed at the skills possessed by the presenters.

Still looking forward to the next episode though. It's a frustrating watch but completely entertaining. There's nothing like a good sitcom.

I nearly, note "nearly" watched last weeks as I thought there was nothing else worth watching. Then noticed that ITV4 had two football matches on, Spurs and someone and Liverpool playing someone else. So I spent the evening watching two pathetic English teams trying to play football.

I think my first opinion was right, there was nothing on. Until Question Time that is.

But why would the "none enthusiast " want to watch in the first place ?

I think the idea was probably aimed in the right direction, but missed the target completely
