F1 Cosworth driving the fuel pump beats all this X-flow v Zetec nonsense out of the water!

It was very loud, I was flying around Newquay airport at the time and you could hear it over their radios

Yeah first time i watched it i thought there was some sort of warning siren at the beginning but then realised it was the F1 800 hp fuel pump!!

I hear that the "it's meant to carry on burning after we shut it off" moment has managed to trash a fair bit of kitin the HAS...

You telling me some bloke is going to sit on this rocket car and go over 1000mph ??? . Please don't ask me :swear:

Have a look at the Australian challenger who's hoping to have a crack at 1k before the Bloodhound team. Now this guy will be sitting on a rocket.

I know it's early days, but I can't help feeling that they've gone down the 'Locost' route by comparison and it will possibly end in tears

A very long soapbox car out of scrap metal anyone?

Given that even an F1 engine at full chat was drowned out by the noise, I'm surprised that anyone in the same county didn't fall over! To be near it must make you a bit of a dummy... :p
