Bloodhound Ssc - Rocket Test Firing

For those who've been following the project along it's journey or have seen models of the car at various events over the last few years, there's a planned test-firing of the rocket that'LL take the car upto the 1000mph mark on 3rd Oct

The news channels may pick it up, but there's also a live stream on the Bloodhound site which is also stacked with loads of fascinating stuff about this amazing project. Fuel pump driven by a Cosworth F1 engine anyone?

Next year they're going for the first proper test run on the specially prepared stretch of dry lake bed in South Africa, with a full tilt at 1k mph planned for 2014
