gregh Posted April 29, 2003 Author Posted April 29, 2003 Can't believe you've not done Cadwell! I have a route avoiding motorways and the A1 from north leeds if that helps? Drop me an email if you want it. Are there any westie friendly hotels near the anglesey circuit where me and me motor could stop over the night before? ie hotels with covered secure parking Greg Quote
juansolo Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 I've usually managed to get into the BaT Cottage which is but I believe an issue for them to get in the summer Never used them but apparently the British Hotel is a little bit iffy and the Anglesey Arms is OK. You'd be better off posting a query on the BaT forum as they'll be plenty of people there who've used the local hotels. Going to Cadwell with Colin Watson who hopefully knows where he's going and I'll be following. I've no idea how I've never managed to get there before. I've been booked in but a quiet Donington came up on the same day so I went there instead. Other than that, just never seemed to get around to it. Quote
markboyce Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 but apparently the British Hotel is a little bit iffy Iffy? As Juan says the anglesey arms is not bad and also has a locked carpark although if you are towing make sure you are good at reversing. British hotel is ok if you are really desperate for a room, but dont take the misses unless you want grief. It does have a big carpark however. The chinese restaurant just along from the British in Bangor also has 4 or 5 rooms, carparking isnt great but the rooms are nice plus food and bar is just downstairs. cheers mark Quote
westy Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 iffy! It’s a **** pit! But, if you go there with the mindset it’s just there as a B&B it will do. Its right by the town so there is a few other places to eat & drink before making your way back to the UK's scummiest hotel. Al Upright was there last time and he had a great time in the bar meeting new friends of similar backgrounds Quote
gregh Posted April 30, 2003 Author Posted April 30, 2003 no trailer for me, so leaving the car out all night with just a tonneau, would the angelsy arms be ok for that? greg Quote
