Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I can't say the hot water plus Steradent approach was wholly successful for my header tank. It's got some of the staining off, but only about half, even with a lot of shaking it about. Will have to try the sand or similar approach next time. Quote

Norman Verona Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Well a handfull of sand, water and a good shake was 100% successful for me. Zero cost to boot. Quote
hilux Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Diswasher cleaner - not the stuff you wash yer dishes with but the stuff you clean the dishwasher with. Nice hot water and a bit of agitation and it degreases and de-scales...................... ........................and removes diesel from motorhome water pipes when some **** (not me) put diesel in the water tank!!!!!
