BLiNK Motorsport Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 As above, either five or six speed/ all ratio's considered.
Geoff101 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 There was one on the parts section of pistonheads. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4243903.htm
JeffC Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 yep as above sam arrenberg is selling one, offered me it last week
stephenh Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Ref the advert link above, it sounds slightly expensive to me, Less than 2 years ago, the price of a new one direct from Beagle Engineering (who make the Elite boxes) was £3,100 plus vat. The digital gear display with fitting kit was £340 extra. A 6 speed version was more expensive, but the boss of Beagle told me that the 5 speed is marginally stronger. I know some say these boxes are fragile, but I can honestly say that I've had no problem with mine, in almost 2 seasons of competing in the Speed Series. I do take 2 precautionary measures; first I change the gearbox oil every time I change the engine oil and filter, and I use Millers fully synthetic transmission oil as recommended by Elite. Secondly, when I am competing, I try whenever possible to briefly run up and down the gears before the first practice run, just running up and down, or round, the paddock is enough to circulate some oil around the gears and the dog teeth and bearings. Bearing in mind that mine is full with just under 2/3 rds. of a litre I feel these steps are worth while
XTR2Turbo Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I sold a 6 speed box last year that was fully reconditioned by the factory for £1750 This box looks epensive to me.
BLiNK Motorsport Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 I had seen the one on pistonheads and I do feel its slightly expensive but more importantly I would have to change the gear ratios. There is also one on up hill racers but is a clubmans figment with gear selector on top of box.
