Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Seems like the bulls fairly instinctively try to rip the punters new holes.

chazpowerslide
I think these pics are from the Pamplona Bull Run or similar. The running of the bulls is a practice that involves running in front of a small group (typically a dozen) of bulls that have been let loose, on a course marked out on the town's streets. The most famous running of the bulls is that of the seven-day festival of Sanfermines in honour of San Fermín in Pamplona, although they are held in towns and villages across Span, Portugal, and in some cities in Mexio, Mesquite, Nevada, and southern France, during the summer. Unlike bullfights, which are performed by professionals, anyone older than 18 may participate in an encierro. In the past bulls destined for bull fights were walked from temporary off-site corrals (where they had spent the night) through the streets to the village/city bullring where they would be killed in the evening. Youngsters would jump among them to show off their bravado. It is said that the tradition began in North-eastern Spain during the early 14th century. While transporting cattle to sell at the market, men would attempt to speed the process by hurrying their cattle using tactics of fear and excitement. After years of this practice, the transportation and hurrying began to turn into a competition, as young adults would attempt to race in front of the bulls and make it safely to their pens without being overtaken. When the popularity of this practice increased and was noticed more and more by the expanding population of Spanish cities, a tradition was created and it's still practiced to this day. Incredabily there are very few serious injuries. Bull jumping goes back as far an the Minoan civilisation so this type of thing is hardly new. The Spanish have a rather different view to animal rights with relation to the countries traditions but that has begun to change and many bullrings have now shut for good. You think the Bull Run is a bit wierd try looking up La Tomatina on UTube (la tomaˈtina) is a festival that is held in the Valencian town of Buñol in which participants get involved in a huge tomato fight purely for fun. It is held on the last Wednesday of August, during the week of festivities of Buñol. Chaz.
