Rusty Nuts Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Finish it off and it will be worth a lot more you have all the winter to do it in as well.
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Is there no way you can manage to hang on and get it IVA'd/registered? Even if you have to sell the minute it's done? At the moment you're deep in to that painful area where it sounds like there's not to much left to do, or parts needed, so you've got lots invested in the kit. Yet without those critical pieces of paper, potential buyers will tend to really hammer you on price. (the problem is, someone's going to have to buy and IVA it, and no disrespect intended! Without knowing the build quality, buyers of kits at this sort of stage tend to really hammer the value so that they've saved enough on the buying price to cover lots of remedial work as well as the IVA cost itself).
GreigM Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 As gadgetman says, you're literally throwing thousands away at this stage - expect offers around the £5K mark if you get them at all....

XTR2Turbo Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 You would probably be better to get a price for the factory to finish the build and IVA than to take a hit on selling as it is
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 You would probably be better to get a price for the factory to finish the build and IVA than to take a hit on selling as it is Yep, for those at a point where circumstances get in the way of finishing, this is a vey good idea.
Dommo Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Shouldn't this be a recognised stage of the build? The realisation that it would have been cheaper and easier to build a second hand one, and the subsequent realisation that it's too late for that to be cost effective anymore
