Blat To Buxton This Sunday 9Th September

Following on from the previous topic, I am firm on a blat to Buxton this Sunday 9th September.

First meeting point is Derby/Burton Services on the A38/A50 junction at 13:30. Hope you Tamworth guys can get there. (and you Chippo!), plus any others that fancy a great run out in the fabulous Derbyshire Dales.

Second meeting point is at The Dapple Grey in Uttoxeter at 14:00

Then on a tour avoiding most main roads to Buxton, up the left side, and down back to Ashbourne on the 515. With a one stop splash and dash, should be back at Dapple Grey for about 17:00 latest.

Cracking afternoon, fantastic run.

Five cars in all, so we managed to stick together well.

No serious issues and most important no rain.

One or two tractors held us up, and road works into Ashbourne were a pain.

Thanks for the bump start at the pub. That starter motor has been playing up for ages.

Next time we should avoid Ashbourne altogether and come back via Matlock.

Thanks to Paul for organising, good run out apart from the road works in ashbourne.

The bumps were a bit harsh in places though...Steve obviously saw some of my sump departing as it is now holed

I suppose I can fish out the remnants of the dipstick now I have to take the sump off!!!
