just sit back and enjoy the sights and the sounds of the cars around you - oh and the beautiful county of Norfolkwoldshire ;)

For a route mate, try....

From the downham services head right, north on the A10. At round about turn right on the a1122 to swaffam. At the end of this road you will come to a roundabout, turn right on to the A47. Take the 2nd exit off of this on to the A1065 to Fakenham, the exit is by the big wind turbine and doubles back on yourself to a T junction, turn right. This road arrives at Fakenham at a roundabout with a shell petrol station on it, go straight over, but then about half a mile on take the first left on to the B1105. Then again about half a mile on take the first left on to the B1105 this takes you directly to Wells. You arrive in wells on a sharp 90 deg bend, turn left on to the main road and follow kthe road around a 90 left and 90 right, then then the next right into wells......sea front. The query will be in front and it will be a left into the pines parking.

We will leave here at 9am to arrive in wells at about 11am. We will join this route at the Fakenham shell roundabout.

Cheers mate.

thanks very much guys for making it out today - had a good number of cars despite the forecast looking a bit ropey  It is a bl**dy long way to go just for fish and chips - the weather put me off hanging around and having a go at crabbing (I dont think we would have beat Mark and Chaz's kids tally anyway) :d

will try to do the same again next year, especially as we now know we can reserve a bit of parking :t-up: a big thanks to the chap that went and asked the Harbour Master for the parking permission :t-up: not that he will ever see this - perhaps try and tie it in next year with another location along the coast - a month or two earlier next year though !!!

well Stu we managed to get a proper soaking on the way home - I guess I should have expected it with my weather luck  car now leathered off and ready for Barkston next weekend - thanks for heading up the pack on the way out :t-up:

hope you all got home safe and sound and not too wet :(

Mark - hope you managed to nurse your car home ok - bit of a bummer that

Bryan - glad to hear the RAC got you sorted ok - there is a place in Peterborough called "Designation" that specialise in pipe fittings and making up pipes - if you can get both bits too me and let me know what length the pipe needs making up to I can get it made up for you - and once fitted if you cvan get the car to me I can make a bracket up if you like - let me know

will post a piccie or two later

Chaz family 233 crabs in a morning

Jackson family 69 crabs in an hour

Total Wells next to the sea crabs from one spot...302 crabs.

I rained from about Kings lynn on the way home, so did feel for you chaps, but had a moment at the top of 3rd on a stretch of Dc where traction was an issue...... Woke the family up.

Good to see all the brave faces make it out, and from a good distance....Loverly exit chaps, i'll single out Tony specifically. Perhaps i should save my pennies and get one again?

No it ain't

I got ruddy soaked

Tony

+1 on that and I bet that you weren't as soaked as me...nursing the car back down the A1 at 50ish and getting a proper cold bath in the spray!

A good run out and good to meet some new faces and thanks to Cleggy for organising and treating us all to cake!

and in case anyone should ask the question again in any threads...no, A048's aren't great when it's wet! :(

Will bear that in mind. I managed to keep it pointing the right way, but was doing a bit of aqua planning near Northampton

Hope you get things straightened out Mark.

Glad everyone got home ok, especially Bryan and Mark after their troubles.

I had to ring out my undies as all the water seemed to get channelled straight to my knackers.

Ta to Cleggy for the cake and organising the run.

Nice to hear the kids enjoyed the crabbing.

And to sum up, another good day with the Cambridge massive :t-up:

Had a good run from St ives to Downham this morning, shame i could'nt go any further than that though. Thanks for all the offers of help from fixing it to getting it home, you really know who your mates are.Should cost about £7 for the parts and a few quid for the oil and we're back again.

Shame i missed out on the cake.
