bhouse Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Andy - some great photos and what an amazing country. Looks as if your visit was more pleasant than my most recent one: my camera kit was impounded on entry and I contracted malaria while spending 2 days on the coast. But still a fascinating place... housebeautician Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 why did they impound your camera! Quote
langy Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 the 1st photo i clicked on was 2 monkeys ****** Quote
bhouse Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 why did they impound your camera! Because the camera kit was in a Peli case they assumed I was a pro. Said I had to have a 'photography permit'. Went back the next day with a work contact from the government and apparently the permit was now 'no longer required' but 'fees' of 300 usd were payable. After a friendly word from my contact the kit was released without payment. Quote
SootySport Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Any chance for a "Permit" with payment in third world country is what the locals live for, from tourists. Just remember you are marked man when abroad and deemed as "Rich" Quote
markcoopers Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I like the Geko looking at your watch strap, i like to think he is asying " That strap reminds me of my mum" or "My sister looks a bit like that strap" Quote
