FILFAN Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 parcelmonkey are the cheapest at the min but i wouldnt recomend them. just took them over a week to collect my exhaust manifold that conehead got off me Quote
GreigM Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 What you've got to remember about parcel2go, paisleyfreight and worldwide-parcelservices and the like is that they aren't the couriers, they just bid the jobs out to City Link, TNT, Yodel etc so its worthwhile checking all the sites to check the prices, as at the end of the day it'll be the same courier that collects and the risk involved is the same... mikef Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Agreed - they are the equivalent of freight forwarders but you can at least choose the actual courier and avoid the ones you don't like. Quote
GreigM Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Just to say, I had parcel2go booked to pick up the headlights I sold on here today and they didn't bother their A*** turning up....this is the 3rd time in a row I've waited in for parcel2go - they are obviously paying the cheapest rates to the couriers as if you book through one of the competitors they always turn up.....and parcel2go couldn't give a toss and just tell you to re-book, and they won't guarantee a pickup on that date either... Surely though the failure to collect is the fault of the courier and not p2g presuming that they have actually passed the booking over? You can check that from the tracking info usually. Perhaps it varies by area but I've had them collect numerous parcels from me and even booking between 9 and 10pm, the chosen courier has so far always turned up the next day. I do usually choose one of the bigger companies though if there's not too much difference in price rather than Yodel or Hermes. The other benefit with P2G is that they have customer support open until 11pm. I used it last night at just after 9pm to leave special delivery instructions to be passed to the courier and they were prompt and helpful. Quote
