Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Just changed to an AP 4 pot set up, so I've got a few bits for sale! First off a pair of Hi Spec Ultralight M16 mount callipers, these were bought from Andy during the initial build of the car, and have done something like 10K miles in the car since 2005. They are in fully working condition, I've cleaned them up and checked the bleed valves are all free. (The rubber dust caps for the valves are all present and correct.) Cosmetically, as you can see from the pics, there are the usual signs of use, with a number of small marks on the anodising. (None particularly noticeable when fitted!) - the worst marks are where the lugs bolt on - see photos, these were made by the cycle wing bracket, which also covers them when fitted. Also included is a set of Mintex M1144 pads, these have approx 6mm of pad remaining, so plenty of life. New, these cost me £117 per calliper and about £60 for the pads. These callipers are the same ones as Westfield sell, but don't have the Westfield name on the side. Currently on special offer from the factory for £260. Yours for £130 plus carriage. (Collection would probably better, or if you're in the general Manchester/Cheshire area or possibly at Donington next week, could meet up) https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-y9lVQupb6vk/UDtOkiykewI/AAAAAAAAA_8/Ihx1QJpKZFo/s640/2012%252011%253A06%253A24.jpg[/ All sold now, thanks for looking.

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Nice piece of kit, will reserve proper judgment on the DS2500 pads till they're bedded in and I've got a couple of miles on them. (bit wooden OOTB)
peterm135 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 I found the DS2500 need a fair bit of heat to work well, Mintex 1144 lots of bite and feel from the beginning
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 That's interesting, my experiances of the M1144's certainly match that. Will give the DS2500 a proper try though.
