Jon Murray Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Is it just me or my browser But I can't see the picture Studbuckle has posted (just a red cross in a small box. Anybody else have this problem? Ta, Jon Quote
studbuckle Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 I mentioned this ti Andy a few days ago as I was getting the same problem on my Freeserve dialup at home but when I tried to replicate the day after it showed up fine. Jon, can you try right click, save as on the picture and see what happens Si Quote
Jon Murray Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Hi Simon, Our messages crossed there Nope, when right clicking, the save as option is greyed out, so can't select it. Very strange! Jon Quote
Jon Murray Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Sorted it, it's my bl**** firewall, seems to not like certain images for some strange reason I temporarily disabled the firewall (Norton) and the images came through no problem. Jon Quote
studbuckle Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Which is odd as I run Norton Personal Firewall at home. However i've not touched it and when I checked on Sunday the gently stuff was working fine. Quote
adhawkins Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 I'd be interested in trying to work out why you were having this problem. Care to help me do some testing on it? PM me if you are, and we'll try to get to the bottom of it. Andy Quote
Jon Murray Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 As an aside - for the last 20 minutes someone has been persistantly trying their best to hack into my PC whilst I'm online - ultra strange - I wonder if this has something to do with me changing the settings in my Firewall (update on hacking) It seems that when I checked the innocent looking box "Alert when unused ports are accessed", every couple of minutes I get a high level security risk warning telling me that an intruder is trying to remotely get into the PC - I unchecked this and everyhting is fine I've had port scans in the past which I've traced via the IP address to Singapore / China (all the usual places) - but this was different. Oh well, there's nothing on my PC worth looking at anyway - except perhaps my archive of F1 pictures! Jon Quote
adhawkins Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 I would appreciate a hand sorting it out, look forward to your PM. Andy Quote
