Norman Verona Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 What a difference a few inches make. (no comments please) The right hander past the pits. In my car, I sit so low, that the road isn't visible as it drops away. From your camera it's fully visible. Quote
GreigM Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Maybe was track but Track was good on 888s but slicks never worked all day but were fine at croft last time , my lap times were poor as never got clear lap best on logger was 58.8 in second off last session I did bit can't recall clear Lap ? 58s on your first time out is chuffin good Jeff - to be honest I don't think the track doesn't have much more than that to give....I only hit 58s on a perfect day when I'm driving out my skin... I think there is a much quicker lap than that Greig, first session I did never doing the circuit in traffic was 1.01 that was learning the track, second session was one lap in the 59s but as said with traffic was impossible to learn the lines and braking points as never seemed to approach the same corner flat out so was either braking early or late think that was the reason none of seemed to progress and pick up much during the day, we normally get into a 4 car train and push each other round for 20mins at a time and its surprising how much faster you can get trying to get that last little bit :t-up: I would think with some time a well driven 7 with around 200bhp will be getting down towards the region of 55secs with a bit of practice , Rich was doing 58s in his R1 striker his first time there too, he was actually flying I would say the quickest there, the hairpin certainly suits the bike engine in fact I would say its a bec circuit Quote
FILFAN Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Sorry in advance Good job you missed it as it would have cost some doe to fix or even some bucks Quote

Irrotational Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Here are some laptimes from trackscotland:- http://trackscotland.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19 Note David L has an R400 and has done 57.5 (after quite a few trackdays!) The fastest I've managed is around 1.02 in a superlight, but I can only really do 3 corners on the whole track! Someone in a similar spec car to mine has managed 1 minute dead. The graduates qualifying in 2006 suggests 1 minute is good, but no idea if they were wet or dry... http://www.graduates.org.uk/2006/results/results.htm They've not been back since... Quote

Irrotational Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Well from google here is a photo of him in action...in 2006... In 2007 he appears in the official timing for the C400 race series, so it looks like he upgraded at some point! http://www.rallyphotography.co.uk/gallery/main.php?g2_view=slideshow.Slideshow&g2_itemId=52817 Quote
