Our car will be in PPC next month. I want to pre-empt any sniping!! Will asked me for info as we chat from time to time, and I tried very hard to make the point that it's just another Westy - I don't make any claim to it being special in any shape or form, except maybe the choice of paint! I also pointed out that there are many, many, much better built/quicker/tricker cars out there.

Much more interesting in that same issue is my mates turbo charged Alfa V6 Stratos replica. Makes my supercharged effort look positively feeble!

They did a feature on a car I used to have a couple of years back - nothing in there that upset me then so I'm fairly confident this one will be OK....but time will tell! The car blew a hedgasket on the photo shoot mind, but I can't blame anyone but myself for that! This time round it's much less of a thing as I understand it, a filler article really - no photo shoot, just a few pics I provided and some waffle from me, interpreted by the staff writer.

I recall that title...but not the detail of the article...but it came out OK didn't it? Had a couple of RV8s myself in the past. Love the sound, but was never much impressed with the power figures I managed to get out of them. The 4.2 in particular was dissapointing.

I remember the article too, it might have been a bit of a "hook" in the title, but from what I recall, it was fair enough, details of the different versions, plenty of tuning options, but ultimately limited in maximum power potential.

That sounds familiar GM. Have to say I'd agree with that description of the RV8 on the whole. After I'd spent a good deal of time and money mucking about with the car I had the 4.2 in, I ended up wishing I'd gone nuts and put a SB Chevy or Ford in it instead.

Get my V8 kicks from the Jeep these days.

Will lives in my village, and we hardly talk at all...bizarre really... Don't worry kevin owns at least 2 if not 3 these days, so I am sure the article will be good and it is not exactly like you are shoddy with the spanners, far from it.
