Conehead Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Hope all went well and you didnt get too wet Lez.... Any hints to help me get 4.5 whole studs out the head when the threads are stripped. I am almost at the stage of driving to my dads to get his mig welder to weld the nuts on.... Also I fitted 2 brooklands screens to the car this evening with the help of the missus..... What a mistake! Getting the missus to help! Fitted the screens in the middle of the seating position with her help only to find they should have been 1.5 " further into the middle!!!!!!!!! Quote
Lestaz0 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 what have you tried. a. Locking two good nuts together. b. Purpose designed Stud socket(think I've got one somewhere) c. small stilson pipe wrench. weld a nut as a last resort. Les Quote
