Fangi0 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 At 6.15 it looked great with some sun and mist - very pretty and no traffic - even more pretty. But then came the deluge. Spotted some yellow Westies at side of road possibly sharing out weather gear but I was already soaked and faced with the prospect of faffing with the hood, having zero visibility coupled with the smell of an ancient beduin tent, thought I would press on. Friend following in his new 3 wheel Morgan (crazy machine) fared worse as he doesn't have hood option, so had leave him sheltering under a brolly listening to his V twin. But.. Goodwood was great, not too busy and some interesting stuff and worth getting a soaking. Good for Lord March to have those meetings with no entry charge. Long may it continue. What a lousy summer, haven't had one dry trip yet this year. Quote

pistonbroke Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 not many summers when you can count the number of days without it raining , think we've had 3 so far, 1 of which was actually on a week end ! Quote
funky munky Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Big respect to the guys in the westies for taking on the weather today, funny thing to see a Red Mustang with its roof down filling up with rain water as the heavens opened. Some nice toys on desplay Quote
Hoon68 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I was lucky as only saw 1 heavy shower whilst there and that was later in the morning. All the pictures I took were in glorious sunshine. I love the breakfast club. Pete, did you get to enjoy the sunshine yesterday afternoon? I managed to get a little sunburnt just having lunch in a pub garden. Hoping to do a bit more on my car this afternoon, make my day off productive! Quote
funky munky Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Tim, hope you made good progress ? I went out for a gentle drive around the Sussex countryside very enjoyable. Goodwood was fun, two cars side by side in the paddock 1 Red Mustang Convertible with roof down ( filling up with rain water ) 1 Ferrari 550 ( ?) I asked SWMBO to choose which one she preffered ? she chose the Ford !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
