robo1968
I use a pair of digital scales with glass tops from Boots! I think they measure up to 150Kg. Just drop the car on to some bits of 6"x2" and then roll the car on to the scales. Works very well for me and quick to sort out total weights and cornerweights. Sounds good. Do you mean put all wheels onto 6x2 then put scales just in front of wheels to get measured, then roll car onto scales leaving opposite side still on the wooden blocks? Autosri
i never thought about this sound like a good way to get rough corner weighting
Norman Verona
Robo, how about putting each wheel on the scales and measuring the corner weights and the whole car. Just ensure, with a long spirit level, that the car is level.
salexander
Yes, I put all 4 wheels onto wood blocks - 2" high is a perfect match for the height of the scales. Put the scales behind the rear wheels and roll the car back onto the scales and take a quick reading. And repeat for the front wheels. There are some nice spreadsheets around that allow you to plug-in the weights and get an instant readout of cornerweights, distribution etc. As others have said, the only little issue with digital scales is the fact that the reading diappears after a few seconds! But I've never found it a problem to be honest.
