Hi

I put a post on the site a few months ago re croft track days and many interested as its a great circuit and very reasonable.  I now have dates for 2003.  Price per day is £150, includes lunch and tuition from v friendly instructors.

5th April, 27th April, 31st May, 22nd June, 19th July, 14th Sept.

I went up there last year and had a blast, great circuit and v friendly.

Anyone interested in a westie meetup / day there ?

I would be very interested in joining a day at Cadwell.

Any one else thinking about it may want to visit:

Yup, I'd be up for a westie day at Croft. Great circuit!! Wonder if you can get there from Leed without going on the a1???

Sounds like there is at least a few of us, its a cracking circuit !!!!.  Bannanaman was also interested last time I posted. Hows about the 31st May ?  or the 22nd June ?

Reply with preferred date, then we can agree one.

Then book direct with Croft on 01325 721 815.

Both days conflict with existing WSCC events, 31 May with Simon's  - Coast to Coast run. 22 June with the Curborough sprint.

19th July is Elvington Sprint and 14th Sept is Donnington Kit car show.

So which ever day you pick it conflicts. Personally 31st May and then do one day of Coast to Coast.

31st May sounds good to me, then i can to the second half of the coast to coast i missed last year.

Looks like the 31st May then.  Suggest we book direct on the number above.   All others welcome also.  Last time I went there was only one other westie, rest were elise, evo, porsche etc.

I will be travelling up from Leicester, but a mate of mine who lives locally will be bringing along his MGBGT V8 which goes like stink also.

Great, book it and see you then

what type of insurance cover do u need to have to do a trackday? i would like to do one, especially at croft because it is the local circuit. But i am only insured on the westy third party through the fully comp on my everyday car.

I don't think you are insured at all as the "any other car not belonging to you must have a policy out against it it must be insured somewhere,by someone else usualy fully comp"

Please check I may be wrong but it is a big mistake if Iam right.

Any insurance man out there to comment?

Paul.

Your "road" insurance will not cover participation in track days  ;)  :D

If you want track day / competition insurance it will need to be undertaken specifically  ;)  with an appropriate premium    ;)

There are a small number who do take out track day insurance, but not many - for most it's a case of damage it - pay for it.  :(  :)

So it does pay to take things within your own abilities and have consideration for others on the circuit  ;)

i will probably go earlier than you guys are talking about, but may come for another as well :)

could somebody re-post nearer the time and i will check the money.

the car is insured in my dads name as im only 19 and we share the car. the only way i was able to drive it was for me to go fully comp on my insurance, because the insurance company wanted silly money.

mark - so basically if you have a brain and dont act like a nob on the track you will be ok? i was thinking about doin track days as its non-competitive and a good way to learn a track.

oioi - im from Middlesbrough. you?
