carbon-nv
If that were my car (and very nice it is too)... I'd be taking the coolant expansion tank off the scuttle, filling it with a diswasher (or washing) tablet and some boiling water to get rid of that horrid brown scum that's on the inside then flushing it out with clean water and putting it back on the car as it'll look so much nicer - all IMHO of course Sterident (or similar) works pretty well, especially if you also put some small stones in the tank and give it a good shake (tho be prepared for a big froth-up initially)

Terryathome
Half ball rubber feet with a step notched out stuck on the bodywork so the bottom of the deflector sits on it. Also the 2 hinges slightly out of alignment so they are a bit tight to fit then they won't swing about. Terry
Doug Dastardly
I used one male hinge and one female per side then used a long bolt through the female to secure my deflectors.

Ive had it through the dishwasher wil some effect but will try the steredent trick! (Not old enough for dentures though).
TAFKARM
Re oil leaks - check the dipstick tube where it goes into the sump. Assuming it's the same as mine, there's an o-ring that's supposed to seal it and doesn't do it very well. It's a bu$$er to get a replacement that fits too. Mine's covered in a length of fuel hose secured by jubilee clips. My Duratec has covered around 18,000 miles and that's the only leak I've had. Cheers, Matt Thanks Matt. I think that could be a likely suspect.
chappers
You can always add a strip of 3M clear helicopter tape to the body work to protect it from the wind deflectors. Won't scratch the gel coat then and almost invisible.
TAFKARM
I'm just going to turn this into my snag list thread rather than start a new one each time! I went with the dome stick pads with a slot cut in them that seem to be working re: the deflectors. I got the expansion tank clean with steredent tabs - Its not perfect, but it has worked surprisingly well! Final issue i've got I promise! GRP seats (unknown make) bolted direct to floor. One of the passenger side bolts is sitting 10mm proud, so the seat rocks back and forth under acceleration. I believe it was broken when i took my mate "Fat Rob" out for a drive. I assumed it would just be a case of nipping it up, but it doesnt seem to work. Is it likely the thread is stripped, in which case, do i need to buy a new seat? Is it likely the thread is stripped, in which case, do i need to buy a new seat? buying a new seat for the sake of one dodgy bolt is a bit drastic It may well be spinning as it is detached from the seat, some have captive nuts welded to the runners but 'usually' the bolt goes down through the seat and runner and the floor of the car with a nut on the underside. Remove the seat and work out what is wrong (if you can't undo this one it is almost certainly spinning so use a Dremel or angle grinder to cut it off below the car...
