KugaWestie
After a blat tonight, I realised that I have got 1000 miles under my belt with the Westy. Its not been without some "Teething Trouble" but I am loving it now
Dommo
Congrats - good to get the teething troubles out of the way for the good weather!
Mooch
Glad all the teething issues are sorted, Gary, and congrats on the first K. Not sure what happened to mine...I'm sure I was supposed to have my share of 'teething problems' but touch wood, everything starts and does what it is supposed to and has done since day one! Off for a blat today with Jon Clancy in his XI - first time as a two-ship. Weather is looking good......
Norman Verona
When Roger King finished my engine I was instructed to run it in for 1000 miles not exceeding 4000 rpm. I did a shakedown run to Hull (from Sheffield) and then we went to Cornwall for the weekend. Non stop there and back and not exceeding 4000 rpm. Then oil and filter change, head pulled down and two hours on the rolling road, rejetting the carbs. He then allowed me to take it out and open it up. We were at a scrapyard near Sudbury. I made my way to the main road and then, after leaving the town, opened it up. Whoosh it was fantastic. I couldn't believe the acceleration and power. To say I was happy is an understatement. When I got back HM and Roger were standing there and said they'd heard me all the way along the by-pass and back.
