Mark (smokey mow) Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Aaaaah I get you. I think I should have posted something about Westfield having a more direct link to the original 7 than Caterham ;) They almost do i already beat you to that one though! Quote
MarcNS Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) Unfortunately most companies started by British people - in the future will be owned by companies from the Far East so will all be related in one way or another. Not sure that really changes history though. As for Caterham, I think they are now much more interested in developing new cars to compete against Lotus on the world stage rather than harp on about how the Caterham 7 is related to a Lotus from the 1960’s. Fat Albert Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 watching the grand prix they were saying that Lotus had reduced car sales despite the F1 team doing wellwonder how much monies of Lotus and caterham actually is used to prop up the F1 teams - I assume these teams are more financed by outside backers? The Lotus F1 team no longer has any link or arrangement with Lotus Cars, the 't' shirt salesman (Bahar) pulled a number on Genii as he's done throughout his career, makes you wonder about their wealth management 'nouse'! Lotus Cars never actually paid any money under their sponsorship agreement after an initial deposit in 2011, nor did they ever hold any equity in the former Renault team. Caterham F1 were more Lotus F1 last season than Lotus GP is or ever has been Quote
