Tyson Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 At short notice i decided to book this activity day for me and my step son. Set of from Colchester in good time for the 9am start with my step son following in his car carrying a few bits and bobs including the roof to the Westie, didn't think i needed to put it on at home  wrong, it P..... down when i approached Chelmsford. Quick stop in a laybye, roof on and away we go. We arrive at 9am to a very wet North Weald and only about 12 cars At 9.30 we are out on track and having a fantastic time, loads of driving due to the low number of cars and a great chance to push the car to it's limits and beyond sometimes in wet, damp and dry contitions. My step son had a great time and want's to do it again, so lets hope he forgets about all this road bike riding. It was great having a bit of competition between up regarding our times, which gradually dropped throughout the day. Think i will book up for August :d Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 :t-up: you had fun then? Plenty of dougnuts too I hope Quote

Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 was it the £40 day that some of us did a few months back? If so I might do another one later this year - good fun for the cost Quote
Tyson Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 £39 for the day, bargain. Not much q ing either. Next one is Tuesday 28th August, worth getting a load of Westies there. Quote

Andy Banks Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 LOL, will edit accordingly. I have to say though I'm torn between emotions having met his Tiggness the other Sunday... Quote
kevip6 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I've been in contact with the airfield to try and book something direct. I tried to book an event through car limits for just us so we could tailor the day a bit more but it worked out about £300 more than just booking all the places on the activity day. I'll keep you all posted Quote
kevip6 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Oh and Brian, I stopped by North Weald to say hi today at around 1pm and must have missed you out for lunch. There was an atom and a bunch of Elise's by the top sprint track but no westies in sight Quote
Tyson Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 I was there, thats a shame you could have come for a SPIN we stopped for lunch at 12.30 till about 1.15 ish, my car was in front of the toilets and i would have been in the porta cabin talking to the guys that run it. Mine was the only westfield One MKD ? with a m3 lump in it. about five mx5's four lotus and a TVR. There are 20 spaces available for August 28th, we should fill them with Westies, what a fun day that would be :d Quote
