M444TTB Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Im booked on this and The Stoat and Dommo are intending to follow (engine rebuilds and IVA tests not withstanding!). Is anyone else planning to go down? Start praying that the summer arrives! Quote
M444TTB Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 Is it a good track for our cars? Feels like my first track day all over again! Quote
dstorey Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Abingdon's great and flowed really well last time I was there last year... Here's the track... http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/abingdon.htm I'm booked in on 20th and have no roof Quote
M444TTB Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 Not a dissimilar shape to Castle Combe in many ways. Hopefully the weather clears up for you by the 20th! 1 Quote
the stoat Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Engine build done and modified exhaust will be delivered tomorrow so I will be there :-) Quote
M444TTB Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 And I've now ordered a full face helmet for it too! Hopefully the summer will return in time! Quote
M444TTB Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 My car is 90% ready for this and that's all it's gonna be I think! Hopefully it holds up ok. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 The weather looks good - sadly I won't be there this time. This was the weather last time... Quote
Dommo Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Right, I'm ready. Seems odd not to be doing stuff the night before Quote
M444TTB Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 What a great day! Just home and showered (which I really needed!). Learnt quite a lot including: 1. Buying this car was exactly the right thing to do 2. Need to change the brake fluid badly 3. My stutter / petrol leak on right hand bends got more annoying the quicker I went! Quote
M444TTB Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 Oh and I need to ditch my ancient A032R's on the front for some A048's like the rear! Thanks also to Dommo for a spin in his car (lol) and Stuart (The Stoat) for not only giving me a great passenger ride and being crazy enough to let me drive his car but for catching my bonnet when the wind took it. Saved a BMW 130i from catching it instead! Quote
Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Looks like you had great weather as well........ Quote
