Joeb_444
Hi all, I have searched and read the posts on here but would like some clarification from those who know ! The Westfield world site diagrams show the front ride height as 160mm. I started by adjusting mine to this height measured as suggested. At this height the front anti roll bar would be almost impossible to get horizontal as per instructions without major mods to all the rose joint threads with an angle grinder, reducing them to an absolute minimum of thread in their corresponding joints. The westfield manual says 120mm at which height the roll bar is far more horizontal and within its adjusting range without modification ! Is 120mm OK, we set this with weight in the car (100kg) and the front wishbone appears to conform to the horizontal ! Confused. Thanks Paul. Doug Dastardly
If you want, you can PM me your email adress and I'll send you a set up sheet I got from the factory. Doug
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
TBH, I'd put more store by a good geo set up from one of the specialists, Northampton, Procomp, Blink, Playskool etc. a lot of the factory settings seem to either be of the get you through IVA, or the make it track hard and try and mask the weaknesses of the chassis design schools. Doug Dastardly
I've read enough on here to agree with the above. I'm just using the factory settings as a starting point for a new build.
KugaWestie
I had mine set up by Northampton Motorsport and it transformed it!
mark.anson
I agree. Save yourself a lot of time and heartache by getting it done properly. Depending where you are in the country take it to one of the specialists. If your north east take it to playskool, blink is in Cheshire area, and speed series sponsors Northampton motorsport are in er........Northampton! It Will be worth it in the long run and will transform your car.

Sorry Doug, I was directing the remark more at Paul; that's why i qualified the comment with respect to IVA
jonjh1964
I'm using a local garage to get the initial setup for the IVA then mine will be going to NMS - hopefully on a weekend when the Saints are playing at home and I'll try and convince my sister to let me use her season ticket so I'll get double the bang for my buck! Now I must be dreaming; a sunny weekend in Sept/Oct drive Westfield to Milton Keynes, pick up the brother-in-law (and sister's season ticket) - drop Westfield at NMS, Saints win (Saracens or Tigers - it's my dream!!!), pick up the Westfield and a spirited drive back to MK through the Salcey Forest, then to Silverstone or Bedford for a trackday on the Sunday before heading back to the SW on A/B roads - will only have to refill the car at least ~3x to complete the road elements!! - oh no just woken up - garage full of bits and another rainy summer Sunday!!!!!!
Joeb_444
I am going to have to get it set up by someone local to an acceptable standard as for me it is not straightforward to get it to the UK to one of the expert places ! After we are on the road depending on funds will try and get it to one of the recommended places. (lot of water in the way !) Paul.
