Lordbenny Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 he's paid up, so i guess he can voice his opinion! :d You don't need to pay to use this forum or have an opinion on it! :d :d :d Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 If you're looking for an argument Lordbenny, then just keep going. It seems to me you've upset enough people to get yourself disliked, which isn't bad seeing as we don't know you. You don't need to pay to use this forum or have an opinion on it! But you need to behave and stay within the rules./ Quote
s2rrr Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I hear the buzzing of a proper hornets nest here on this one. I've got two plates because I have, anal maybe who cares, Haven't altered the spacings etc. As for SteveD I agree his plate is appropriate :d specially on a high fibre diet ,. Could always claim I have memory deficiency syndrome so need to keep things unchanged. We all have our own views on this, if I have had a bit more foresight in 1998 I would have bought the available plate one less than mine in number and I could have saved it for when I get my Knighthood, it only cost another £500 but is probably worth a lot more 14 years on. Does make it more simple for the authorities and other drivers to remember though. Just another I can so I did. Personal preference and Norman has his view, doesn't mean we all jump in and ****** him off, well only a little - :) Bob Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Bob, as you know, I don't mind a bit of ribbing, even laughing at me. However, there's a difference between a bit of fun and spoiling for an argument. Of course, it's really because I'm stupid to spend money on my Caterham, isn't it. Quote
Captain Colonial Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Very sad. I could have made some good money on popcorn sales in a thread like this in the old days. Quote

s2rrr Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Norman agreed I understand where you are coming from and have no issue with your sense of humour, sarcasm or whatever. I get the impression that most others have a similar opinion as I. Am bowing out now as its developing into a bit of a personal rant. Bob Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Trust you understand it's not from me. So I'll bow out before it gets out of hand. Quote

Pantherman Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I have one. Been on retention for years , I sold a Vincent motorcycle to a guy in the states and he didn't want the plate. The plate is RHK and three numbers, sometimes when I am pished I sit and think what I could change my name to suit the plate ! Dave Quote
M444TTB Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I'm kinda surprised the DVLA won't sell those of us with a Q plate a private Q plate. I'd happily buy Q123 MPB (or some other combo of numbers to go with my initials). On my daily driver I've had my M444 TTB plate, which my parents bought me for my 21st in 2003. Something I'll have on my cars forever (unless work give me a company car I suppose!). I'm also waiting on VB11 MPB to drop in price (it will take a few years) on the DVLA site. As those are my wife's initials, the year we married and my initials. Our newest car is a 56 though so no real rush. Quote
Dave the Sparky Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 I shouldn't have taken offense, Norman and I have spoken and are good and yes we are all entitled to our opinion, it's Sunday, the pubs calling peace out brothers.... Dave Quote
