Rik of the Westy Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 I am just over the border in Skipton but I would be interested in hearing about any Lancs meetings Quote
Rich Duddell Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Lancashire Area used to meet at the Green Man at Inglewhite near Preston, on the evening of the third Wednesday of the month, up until a few months ago - I think they still might but I'm not 100% certain. They don't have an AO at the moment which is why they don't appear in WW. Given that the 3rd Weds is next week, it might be worth giving the pub a call on that night to see if they are still there. I have in the past, when I was Manchester AO, been contacted by quite a number of Lancs Westfield owners, so there may well be a market out there for a revamped meeting. Hope this helps Rich PS - you can always come along to the Manchester meetings if you want Quote
wrightster Posted November 16, 2002 Author Posted November 16, 2002 Thanks Rich for the info on the lancashire meet, i may well end up coming down to the manchester meeting if nothing happens in this area. to mufc to LFC Quote
Paul Helsby Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 You would be very welcome at the Manchester meeting, it's quite small in numbers but growing each month. We meet second Wednesday OTM at the Horton Arms which is in Chadderton, Oldham, very close to the M62/60/A67M. There's at least 2 of us building currently, a Blade and a Busa and rumour has it that another of our members is contemplating selling his very nice Zetec SEi and doing another one. Paul Hurdsfield is the new AO, just taken over from Richard who still comes along. We do our own newsletter, drop me an email and I will send you the last one and put you on the mailing list. We do a variety of things over the year including the usual convoys to the shows, track days, and are planning a Le Mans trip next June. I'm sure Paul will jump in here with the exact road number/directions. Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 Ok Paul H here goes, From the North, East or West on the M60/M62 Leave the M62 at J20 onto the A627(M) sp Oldham and Rochdale, towards Oldham. In 2 miles leave the m/way sp Royton and Shaw onto the B6195 Burnley lane towards Middleton Pass the Chadderton Park Inn on your left, downhill for 1 mile to the traffic lights, Turn right at the church sp B6195 Royton, follow the sweeping bends for less than 1/2mile, The Horton Arms is on your left just before you go under the motorway bridge. From the South Leave the M60 at The A663 Broadway sp Manchester and Oldham, towards Oldham. In about 2 miles at the start of the A627(M) turn left onto the B6195 Burnley lane towards Middleton Then as above, hope to see you there Quote
