Norman Verona Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 Chris, that may well be true but shouting and swearing at it seems to help. For example, trying to get the small screws and nuts that hold the rear wing off. I put the Allen key on the head. Then put the ratchet spanner on the nut. As only one thumb can grip as the spanner goes on the Allen key falls out. Then as the Allen key is put back the spanner falls off. Shouting and swearing at it did help as the boy came out to see what the fuss was about and held the allen key. CTD, it is mounted with the terminals downwards. It just needs a lot of pressure to close the terminals. The headlight flasher worked well but, after 2 years with no use the switch has become so "stiff" the spring couldn't pull it on. If I assisted with a finger then the spring was stopping it springing back. I'll get a pull type momentary switch next week. Who needs brake lights anyway? Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 Towed it back this morning. The "boy" was driving the Fiat and forgot I was on the back. When we reached 75 kph I thought it time to remind her, Remember, this is one mile from our farm. Anyway, quick check and there's petrol getting to the carb banjo's. Ignition test next - after a cuppa. Quote
