shaun Posted November 7, 2002 Posted November 7, 2002 The Thames Valley meeting is this Sunday, noon onwards at the Devil Inn. Unfortunately due to other commitments I will be unable to make this one, but will be there at the December meeting. Quote
I AM NOT A NUMBER!!! Posted November 7, 2002 Posted November 7, 2002 Shaun, I’ll be motor-sickling across America on the 10th, what’s the date of the December meeting. Quote
AndyC_772 Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 Shaun (and others): you missed exactly this big a meet - my car is the funny looking yellow one at the back: WHERE WERE YOU ALL?! Big hello to the new faces who did come along, looking forward to seeing your monster Westy some time soon. As for the December meet, though, I think I'll give it a miss. At least then I'll be in good company Andy. Quote
Blatman Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 Me an' Blatgirl were driving home from the Speed Series awards do, as were one or two other regulars. Quote
shaun Posted November 10, 2002 Author Posted November 10, 2002 Andy It was a shame that there were not many people at the meeting. Normally we have a good turn out. I know that the Speed Series awards were today - I expect that was where everyone was hanging I must admit quite a few of us got a good soaking at Thruxton at the last meeting (13th October) and most of us are probably still recovering. I think the weather would have put most people off. Anyway I will most definitely be there at the next meeting on December 8th with hopefully most of the other Thames Valley crowd. Do come along -- PLEASE By the way good picture Quote
Buzzer Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 Well I have been working ALL day .... and still am ..well I didn't miss much then. Dave nice picy ! Quote
Warren E Smith Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 F'''ing car ended up at Westfield to repair (couldn't get it drive straight on my own & then found another alloy buckled). Due to HHH pratting about with delayed approval to fix ( ~1.3K to fix more parts that weren't touched than you can imagine) then Westfield telling me some dangler• story about "the wrong wishbone" being powder coated, I regret that my beloved car is stuck in Kingswinford for the 4th week Should get it this week Quote
AndyC_772 Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Speed series awards... hmm.. OK, you're forgiven I'll come along next month if the weather's OK - as some of you may know, my car still has crummy no-name tyres and needs the suspension sorting, so driving it in the wet is pretty scary. I was getting wheelspin in 3rd just on the A404, not too far from where I laughed at a TVR backwards in a hedge just a few weeks ago. Maybe I'll bring the Scooby next time... Andy. Quote
david.c Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Andy I'm afraid I wimped out because of the weather. As Shaun said, most of us got a good enough soaking at Thruxton to last us a while. Hope to make the next one, although it will probably be in my dull car. David Quote
DickieB Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Apologies - Speed Series presentation etc. Too hung over to make it back in time. Will try harder for December - honest! Dickie B Quote
