I knew that French telly was going to be bad the moment I put the set on when I was on holiday with my parents in Paris nearly 30 years ago (really THAT long ago? I'm getting old).

I can't think of any country I've been to that has better TV programmes or presentation than the UK, (Sky not included).

Germany has some acceptable national channels but OMG have you ever seen the Nauseating Japanese, Italian, Philippine TV programmes, puts you of for life.

We were staying with my cousin in Paris in 1969. Got back from the restaurant and put the TV on.

A couple ****** on the floor, not quite porn but nearly so.

She (my cousin) said these films are on every night.

Not sure if they are still on a s we don't watch Quiz TV (aka French TV)

I was going to say they do have loads of "educational" channels in that there europe place. Last time in Paris we met up with another couple and when the bar closed went back to our room for a last beer, switched on the TV to be met with bonking billy and his missus. Oh how we laughed. They must have thought this was a right set up, which of course it wasn't honest yer 'onor. My wife is to put it carefully a right prude and I had only just focussed on the screen and it was gone. Finished the beers and next day went off to see Madonna at Bercy with the cone jobbies at the front, JP Gaultier stuff.
