After owning this car for the past nine years, it’s time for it to go. I haven’t driven it for nearly two years due to work and family commitments and, facing the prospect of another year of not driving it, it’s time for someone else to enjoy it.

*Edited to add: Heater matrix (Lovely on a colder evening!) The car used to have a windscreen. So, has the wiring for the washer pump and wipers already fitted.

This car was factory-built in 1998 with a 1.6 CVH on twin 40 Webbers. It has had three owners, (not including it’s time being held by ex-trader Terry Knightingale). Myself being the third owner. I purchased the car in 2003.

The turbo engine was put in the car in 2005. It had done 86,000 miles when it went into the car and has done approximately another 10,000 since it’s been in my Westfield, without modification. The car has only been MOT’d for the past two years and has, more or less, only done the mileage to and from the test centre - about 60 miles, in total. I was told that it had never been on a track when I bought it and I have never had it on one either. The car only requires a visible smoke test for MOT. So, no CAT or CO2 emissions test necessary. The car passed with no problems.

It’s an (almost) unique installation in a Westfield. I only know of two other Westfields that have had CVH turbo engines. It done a power run at Northampton Motorsport in 2007 and made 146.3 bhp at the flywheel (i have the printout). A 50bhp increase over the original carb'd CVH. It has since had the PWR/AVT charge-cooler fitted, this year. So, should be above that now, but don’t know exact figures. It’s still a well-catered for engine and places like Burton Power have plenty of upgrade bits that will take you up that bhp ladder, if you so wish.

£4200 ono

I’m available most nights and weekends on short notice. The advert is also up on Pistonheads: -

Thanks guys. I've met some great people on here over the years and been to some fantastic days out. I'm not leaving the community. It's just not getting used as much as it should.

Was wondering why the sky was so black today - it's all the buzzards circling. This is preposterously under priced and someone will get Christmas in June.

Best wishes to you sir!

Or a nice father's day present by some devoted son? :-)

Video of engine running on that glorious Summer's day, last Monday.

No surprise when he was practically giving it away! It wouldn't surprise me if an infamous Westy trader had snapped it up or a private buyer who thought all his Christmases had come at once. Westy bargain of the year for sure

The car is now at it's new home. You'll all be happy to know that it went to a club member and not a dealership.

Enjoy it.
